Page 10 The Liars Who Defend Vivisection I have debated the RDS a couple of times on radio. Dr.Mark Matfield (who is not a medical doctor, but a micro biologist) a few years ago in a debate against Dr. Ray Greek (Ray Greek is a real doctor), Matfield obviously lost for words and grasping at straws for support from the presenter who gladly obliged as is usual with the BBC puppets, insisting that Dr.Greek had quoted damning evidence from the vivisectors mouths themselves as being “out of context”. How very convenient, if you can’t defend definite statements from the vivisectors themselves just say “oh that has been taken out of context”. As Ray Greek pointed out how can you quote a definite statement out of context?
The obviously biased BBC host then criticised Ray Greek for misleading the public because these quotes came from people who supported vivisection, this was despite the fact that the whole nation heard Ray Greek say before these damning quotes that these people did support vivisection.
Christopher Reeves can’t listen, it was all too late for his delusions of animal research. Andrew Blake of SIMR, now deceased, also believed that a mouse could cure his condition (Frederik’s Ataxia). Of course as mice do not get Frederik’s Ataxia it seems hard to see how this could be achieved. But then this is nothing new, animals do not get the majority of diseases that people do, and when they do, they take a different form In Cystic fibrosis they are only mimicked
Before we finish with the delusions of the vivisectors champions, let’s get rid of one more lie from the RDS. Mark Matfield has stated on many occasions that Thalidomide was not tested on pregnant animals this is a lie. Thalidomide was tested on nine different species of pregnant animals including primates before the drug was allowed on the market (1). Mark Matfield and his cronies at the RDS would have us believe otherwise, but this is a favourite bit of misinformation cunningly connived because of the fear element embedded in people with illness.
