Page 14 The Illusion of Cancer Cure The illusion of cure in cancer research has long been a carrot dangling on the end of a stick. Before I started campaigning for animals I was taken in by the establishment. Statistics have been manipulated to give this illusion that people undergoing cancer treatment are living longer ...of course they are not...merely better and sooner diagnosis is making it look as if this has been achieved . Of course this illusion is great for cancer charities who depend upon donations many of which come from people who have died from cancer. A bit mind boggling really when you think that those people have died of cancer yet they have this blind faith that cancer can be cured. Cancer never will be cured because there is too much money in it for those who pursue it as a career not to mention the pharmaceutical charlatans. “One constantly hears the cancer research charities saying there has been yet another breakthrough, but an awful lot of this comes to nothing. One begins to wonder is their main intention to provide interesting information about scientific advances, or is it to keep them in the public eye to assist fund raising?” Cancer cure remains elusive, say experts, The Sunday Times 31 January, 1993 page 18. Alternative cancer treatments have been shunned by those with vested interests. Not only that but those trying to help cancer patients with these unconventional methods have been persecuted. Judy Finnigan brushed aside that alternative therapies had more value than the cut, burn and poison brigade and silenced a cancer victim who had dared to utter the blasphemy of alternative treatments even though this treatment (Gerson Therapy) had been successful for her. Research with mice and rats have got us absolutely nowhere and only confused the situation. |
